Message from the Principal and Vice-Principal

Another month has slipped by and here we are in December, almost at the end of 2014. As we get ready for the Christmas Break, parents and guardians should watch for news from teachers about seasonal celebrations. One date to circle on the calendar is Wednesday, December 17th – our BVCS Christmas/Hanukkah/Holiday Concert (7:00 PM).

This month’s newsletter (posted on the website) includes an interesting article from Canadian Living magazine regarding family vacations. It provides parents with information to consider when planning family trips during the school year. Also in the newsletter, we have included a message from our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) regarding the many tangible ways that the CAC has supported students in the school this year.

The staff and students of BVCS would like to wish all of our families, friends, volunteers, and helpers the very best during this special time of the year and we hope that 2015 brings you peace, joy, good health, and prosperity.

Trustee Newsletters for 2014/15 are available on the home page of the BWDSB website or by following the link below to the special page we have set up. Please feel free to link to or open and save as a PDF the newsletter relevant to your school.

We encourage you to call us if you have any concerns or questions. We can be reached at 519-599-5991 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, or you can leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We can be contacted by e-mail at

Shelby and Andy

Our next CAC meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 13th at 7:00 PM in the BVCS Library. All parents are welcome to attend. The agenda for the January meeting will be posted to the CAC page in early January. You can view the minutes of our meetings on the CAC (School Community Council) page on this website - see the left side of this page.
